Ahead to Saraguro

I haven't had time to update you all because I have been too busy climbing mountains in my spare time.  This past weekend we went to an indigenous village name Saraguro, which is about three hours from Cuenca.  We spent about five and a half hours climbing mountains throughout the weekend.  On one of the mountains we attended a religious ceremony, which was beautiful.
Each meal we were fed local food in people's homes- including Cuy once again.  With the dinner we had on Saturday night, also came live music from the locals.  We spent the evening listening to wooden flutes, drums and guitars before we had to hit the hay before another day of hiking.
This week I am suppose to start my internship.  However, I have learned that internships here are not quite as organized as in the states.  Today I went to the immigration office to start my internship and they had no schedule or work for me to do.  So, we'll try again next week.
All for now, Alex and I are heading to a local pizza place for dinner.  We feel a little deprived from our "unhealthy riceless  American diet".
